I had the privilege of presenting at GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) diving deep into SUSTAINABILITY with Dr. Faith Mashele MBA, FCIPS, PhD. focusing on Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). Using our Z2B Stokvel and Aquaponics initiative as a case study, I showcased how we turned a challenging environment into a thriving opportunity by establishing a fresh water fish farm in Soweto and meat processing facility in Kya Sands. 🌍
This initiative, born from the power of social media, built in public over 600 days with public participation, is a testament to what can be achieved when communities collaborate over one idea online turning into a reality and an enterprise. It’s incredible to see how professional and modern governance of a stokvel can start two businesses from scratch and take them from Zero to Million within 24 months, reaching targets far ahead of schedule 💼
